When I was fifteen, I couldn't believe how stupid my father was. When I was twenty-one I couldn't believe how smart my father had gotten in such a short time.

Thoughts for the Evening

Where holding a grudge chains you to unhappiness, giving the gift of forgiveness sets you free. ~ Lee Jampolsky

Being happy has nothing to do with how much you have, and everything to do with how grateful you are for what you do have. ~ Lee Jampolsky

That's My World!

That's My World is hosted each week by Klaus and the My World team, Klaus, Sandy, Wren, Fishing Guy and me. Click on the icon and share your world with others from all over Our World! So! How is your world this week? Have you taken time to see the beauty there? What is it about your world that makes you smile or laugh or feel grateful for? You can click on the photos to embiggen and get a better look!

We've had good, bad and indifferent weather this week, which is as I'm sure you've noticed pretty much the norm for the northwest! That's not a complaint though, just a fact. And this is my world for this week! Fun as always, beautiful as always and I'm so fortunate -- as always!

Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing, it was here first. — Mark Twain

Food?? Did you say something about FOOD?!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
